It carries shaded walking trails with outdoor gym equipment, baseball and softball diamonds, batting cages, lit basketball courts, the Joyce Oransky Tennis Center, pavilions with picnic tables and grills, and the H. Spurgeon Cherry Pool. Its playground is Gainesville's first boundless, fully inclusive playground, designed for all ages and abilities and fully lit for use after sunset. The park is named for Albert "Ray" Massey, for many years the city's Parks and Recreation Director, and it reopened after a Wild Spaces Public Places project on March 31, 2023.
