About Heartwood Soundstage

Heartwood Soundstage is a performing arts venue and production studio at 619 South Main Street, inside the South Main Station complex. It was founded in 2017 by Bob McPeek, Dave Melosh, Hoch Shitama and Paul Pavelka, built on the site of Mirror Image Recording Studios, which McPeek and Pavelka started in 1977. In 2025 its nonprofit arm, the Heartwood Foundation, bought Heartwood Soundstage LLC, making the venue a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Ages

Typically all ages, and kids 12 and under enter free. Sold-out shows and occasional 18-plus events are the exceptions. Anyone under 15 has to be with a parent or guardian.

Parking

The venue sits in South Main Station at 619 S Main St and is surrounded by the complex's parking lots.

Re-entry

Most shows allow re-entry. Some large shows do not.

Bags

Small bags the size of a standard envelope or smaller are allowed. Backpacks and anything larger are not, and all bags are searched at entry.

Cameras

Allowed, with no flash, no detachable lenses and no stands, monopods or tripods.

At the door

Have your ID and your ticket, on a phone or printed, ready when you arrive.
